Particle physics in confinement

We compile a series of proposals, activities, talks and resources on particle and theoretical physics astronomy, aimed at both children and adults.

We have several materials that might be useful for starting in the world of particle physcis. We suggest you to visit the video CERN: The Standard Model Of Particle Physics,  which was produced by the CERN / ATLAS multimedia practice competition. The team of the ADMIRA project has translated part of the contents into catalan - those on the Standard Model of Particle Physics. You can also retrieve the 2019 edition of the Particle Physics Workshop, which includes talks by our researchers, or take a virtual walk around the 100th year of the proton discovery.

You can find here other activities and proposals by other institutions and research centres:

  • Activity book for kids by CMS- CERN, which includes several drawings, puzzles and labyrinths on the fundamental particles, or the LHC experiment among others.
  • Quarked! Interactive Games on subatomic physics, from the University of Kansas (USA), aimed primarily at children 7-12 years old.

  •
