How quantum technologies are changing our world

Quantum mechanics is perhaps the most counterintuitive description of nature, and yet the most precise theory ever developed. Even more than a century after its first discoveries, research continues to reveal surprising phenomena that are poised to have a profound impact on our lives in the near future. In this talk, we explore how these discoveries are transforming the world we know and reshaping the technologies that will define the future.



Simulating nuclear physics with quantum computers

In the upcoming years, quantum technologies are expected to bring about a new revolution. Among the most anticipated
applications are optimization problems and breaking cryptography. But how can we use them for physics?
In the quantum world, just as Schrödinger’s cat can be alive and dead at the same time, particles can exist in multiple
states simultaneously. Simulating this is extremely difficult for classical computers, which is where quantum computers
excel. In this talk, we will explain how we can simulate a field as fascinating as nuclear physics using these technologies
