ICCUB PhD student and scientific communicator Toni Bertólez will participate in INSpiracy 2022 with a talk on dark matter, a field related to his research of studying neutrinos as possible candidates to solve physics mystery.
BCNspiracy is a science outreach event born with the vocation of being Barcelona's reference meeting in this field.
The first edition of BCNspiracy took place in September 2017, with the mission of conveying the need and necessity of science to society.
TALK: "HOT TO SEE WHAT IS INVISIBLE TO US? DETECTING DARK MATTER"
We are used to using our eyes to explore nature. Even the smallest atoms and molecules can be studied in laboratories thanks to light. But does this mean that everything that exists must be visible? For half a century, the Universe seems to be telling us no: that there is some kind of matter that we can't see in any way, but that governs how galaxies and the Universe work. Today we will learn what dark matter is.
