Next October 31st, we celebrate Dark Matter Day yet another year. This day was instituted in 2017 to commemorate the epic search for this invisible matter (since it does not interact with light) whose gravitational effects we can detect and which makes up 26% of the content of our Universe.
To celebrate the day, the Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the University of Barcelona (ICCUB) brings you the exhibition “Viatge Cap a l’Univers Fosc”, which you can visit from October 24th to November 7th.
We also invite you to attend the guided tours of the exhibition that will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd by ICCUB researchers and doctoral students. In these tours, you will learn all the mysteries of dark matter, what its nature is, how it behaves, what evidence we have of its existence... So don’t miss it!
GUIDED TOURS TO THE "VIATGE CAP A L’UNIVERS FOSC" EXHIBITION
The night sky is full of spectacular images that catch our eye and make our imagination run wild. However, there is much more out there than meets the eye, much more to discover. The traveling exhibition "Viatge cap a l’Univers Fosc" takes us on a journey through the fascinating frontiers of cosmology and gravity, ranging from dark matter and dark energy, to black holes and gravitational waves.
Guided tour sessions:
1. Wednesday, November 2nd, from 10:25am to 10:40am.
2. Wednesday, November 2nd, from 2:30pm to 2:45pm.
3. Wednesday, November 2nd, from 4pm to 4:15pm.
