The astrophysicist Saul Perlmutter, who led the discovery of the accelerated expansion of the Universe and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011, will be awarded the honorary doctorate by the University of Barcelona on Monday May 20, at 12 noon, in the Paranimph of the Historical Building.
