The popular science docu-series Gravity Land will be presented in Barcelona next Monday, February 27, with the assistance of its creators, Nacho Chueca and Carlos Barceló, and two of its main actresses, Elisa Marinas and Mireia Sabadell.
The series features two researchers from the Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the University of Barcelona, Cristiano Germani and Roberto Emparan, who make appearances in episodes 2 and 9, discussing black holes and other mysteries of the theory of General Relativity.
Gravity Land invites us on a visit through the Cosmos using gravity as the backbone of the story of the Universe, it being the mysterious interaction that shaped its origin and its current complex form. A series of scientific dissemination with high rigor, endorsed by the CSIC, which joins artistic and humanist elements to communicate science through a thorough and diverse docu-fiction, with emotion as a central element.
Episodes 2 to 4 are available for free at RTVE Play.
The presentation of the series in Barcelona will take place on two separate events:
Monday, February 27 at 6PM
Presentation of the series at the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona (RACAB), Rambla 115. Precisely in the same room where Albert Einstein gave a talk in 1923 presenting his theory of gravitation.
Tuesday, February 28 at 6PM
Presentation of the series at the Aula Magna Enric Casassas of the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry of the University of Barcelona.
In both events, after a few words from its creators, we will be able to enjoy the pilot episode of the series and a question-and-answer session with its filmmakers. Free entrance until full capacity.
