Giovanni Passaleva, the spokesperson representing the Large Hadron Collider beauty experiment (LHCb) spoke with El País journal about the relevance, the latest findings and the goals of this promising research.
The Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment is one of the four major experiments that houses the world's 27 kilometer circumference of the world's largest accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This experiment specializes in studying the indirect effects of collisions (particle beam collisions that travel at almost the speed of light), and specifically, particles containing quarks b.
The collaboration that operates this experiment is formed by 1,200 scientists from 72 research institutes around the world, one of those is the Institute of Cosmos Sciences.
